Adrian Serrano’s Last Fight Next Friday at Extreme Challenge 101

Adrian Serrano will fight his final MMA fight this Friday in Franklin, Wisconsin at Extreme Challenge 101. Serrano has fought for the organization in over a dozen of their shows dating back more than ten years ago and is the former Extreme Challenge 170 pound middleweight champion. While in the Extreme Challenge organization Serrano fought notable fighters such as Brian Gassaway and Joe Doerksen but is most famous for his fights with another Wisconsin legend, Dave Strasser for the title in 1997 and 1998.

Serrano announced his retirement earlier this year in what he dubbed, “The Final Four.” The final four fights have been local fights in various organizations including Freestyle Combat Challenge, Combat USA, and Gladiators Fighting Series. Of the final four fights, Serrano has gone (1-2) thus far and most recently lost via knockout to Fox Valley Grappling Club’s Herbert “Whisper” Goodman in May at Gladiators Fighting Series. In February at Combat USA, Serrano used a rear naked choke to defeat Jason Hoyer. In January, Serrano lost via a guillotine choke to John Meyer.

Extreme Challenge is one of the oldest and well-known Midwestern organizations. It was founded and is owned by Monte Cox, a famous manager and CEO of Adrenaline MMA. While Extreme Challenge has done shows in Wisconsin in the past, it has been a long time since they have done anything in the area. Extreme Challenge 101 will take place at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex in Franklin, Wisconsin this Friday.

No opponent has been named for Serrano as of yesterday and I will keep you up to date when I receive the fight card.
