Ron Faircloth vs. Damien Stelly at Art of War


Madison’s Ron Faircloth will headline the Art of War 5 show in Tunica, Mississippi on April 19, 2008. He will square off against Art of War vet Demain Stelly in a show entitled GIs vs. Pros according to http://www.artofwarlive.com/.

Ron Faircloth had previously fought on the Art of War 4 show and defeated Chris Hawk via guillotine choke last October in the second round. He sports a (27-14) MMA record according to Sherdog.com and primarily has fought in Freestyle Combat Challenge shows throughout his career. In addition, he has fought on some larger shows such as the UFC, BodogFight, and Icon Sport’s Superbrawl in his career, which dates back to 1999. He has fought many recognizable and notable opponents such as Travis Fulton, Jason Lambert, Wilson Gouviea, and Alessio Sakara.

Damien Stelly sports a (6-2) MMA record according to FC Fighter and fights out of Georgia. His most notable opponent is Luis Cane who defeated Stelly via KO and went on to fight in the UFC immediately afterward, losing via DQ to James Irvin. Stelly has fought in Art of War 1,2, and 3 shows and his AOW record is (2-1).

According to comments left by Chris Geraghty of http://www.theringannouncer.com/, this fight will be televised as part of a eight-week series on the Fox network. Racine resident, Nick Agallar will also fight on this card but would be televised on a later show.
